Martha Dayton is known for creating welcoming, beautifully balanced environments through expert space planning and visual rhythm. Dayton spent the early part of her twenty-year career in Rhode Island and Boston renovating single and multi-family homes. She moved to the Twin Cities in 1994 and worked in commercial real estate leasing before joining The Lander Group as their President of Design and Human Resources. In 2005, after eight years of doing exclusively multi-family and mixed-use projects for Lander, she founded Martha Dayton Design. Today she lives with her husband and two teenaged daughters. Dayton loves photography, skiing, walking, and watching her daughters’ activities. Additionally, she is passionate about education, the arts, and diabetes advocacy. She is a founding member of PAB'S PACKS, a non-profit serving chronically ill teenagers with repeat hospital visits. She has served on numerous boards, including The Blake School, Minnesota Children’s Museum, the Walker Art Center, and Friends of PACER. In June, 2015, she opened a retail location in the North Loop called Witt + Bliss.

Drawing on her extensive fine arts background, Kelly Perry brings projects to life with gorgeous details and unexpected flair. She grew up in Minnesota and studied jewelry design and business at Skidmore College in upstate New York. Soon after graduating, she moved to Manhattan and designed jewelry for Tiffany & Company for seven years. She returned to Minnesota, becoming a consultant for Christie’s Fine Art Auctioneers and joined Martha Dayton Design immediately after its founding. She lives with her husband and two teenaged sons in Orono, where she is very involved with the community. She has served on the Alumni board at Breck School as well as the Friends Board of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. She is a certified yoga instructor, who also enjoys gardening, cooking, and entertaining.

In design, there is a fine line between eclectic and distracted, but Kory Kevin Reckinger has made it a mission to pull inspiration from everything he finds exciting: modern silhouettes, bold prints, rustic influences, and lots of energy.

Not entirely satisfied with a degree in graphic design and advertising, Kory went back for another round of school to receive an additional degree in interior design. Throughout and following his studious years, he spent nearly a decade in retail merchandising before finally making the leap into the Minneapolis interior design scene. He worked for another local firm for almost three years before joining Martha Dayton Design to pursue his passion in residential design. Kory brings his technical background to the team’s design with experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Renderings, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Outside of the design studio, he is still a student at heart and loves learning and reading. Kory also plays guitar, writes music, and loves to photograph architecture and scenes around his favorite city: Minneapolis.
